1. Key Responsibilities & Technical Drafting Operations
As a Structural Draftsman, your core duties will focus on preparing precise structural CAD models, detailing reinforcement layouts, and maintaining drawing revisions:
- Prepare comprehensive structural layout drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation layouts, section details, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Develop detailed structural steel connection details, reinforced concrete (RC) framing plans, and shop drawings based on engineering calculations and design sketches.
- Produce precise as-built drawings following site modifications and verification by site inspection teams.
- Coordinate continuously with lead structural engineers, architectural draftsmen, and MEP coordinators to resolve spatial conflicts and drawing clashes.
- Ensure all drawing submittals comply strictly with company standards, QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications), and client presentation guidelines.
- Maintain organized digital drawing archives, revision logs, and document management systems across all project phases.
