1. Key Responsibilities & Warehouse Operations
As a Warehouse Supervisor, your daily responsibilities will revolve around floor coordination, stock accuracy, and supply chain execution:
- Supervise daily warehouse routines, including inbound shipment receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, staging, and outbound dispatch operations.
- Maintain accurate stock records using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), conducting routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Manage, schedule, and assign daily tasks to warehouse staff, forklift operators, and loaders, fostering a productive and team-oriented environment.
- Optimize space utilization, racking layouts, and material handling procedures to ensure safe storage and rapid retrieval of goods.
- Enforce strict warehouse safety standards, fire protection guidelines, manual handling protocols, and material handling equipment (MHE) maintenance routines.
- Coordinate directly with transport fleets, freight forwarders, and procurement teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve delivery discrepancies.
